About the event

WHEN, WHERE, HOW 

The EB Sports Academy is offering a new FREE programme of activities for young people from School Years 3 to 6 in the East Brighton area. We will offer sessions delivered by one of our best local coaches (DBS checked, safeguarding, 1st aid and level 2 qualified) and make the programme highly exciting, fun and engaging for everyone. With a maximum of 15 registered participants per session. We require participants registration to book their spot on this registration page before 12pm on the day of the session. Make sure to book as soon as possible so you guarantee your spot at the session. However, please note, participants who book but do not attend will be required to pay £10 fine in order to continue attending the programme. Sessions will be on Thursdays. Please check our scheddule for times and special dates.

Beginners are welcome. Those who are interested in improving their basketball skills will be asked to make part of our team of 6 players that will attend local Open Tournaments on Satudays  on Feb 24th, March 9th and March 23rd.

The sessions are delivered in three outdoor venues:

  1. The Manor Road Gym (Bn2 5ea) (Thursdays / Feb 22nd to March 28th / 16:45pm-17:45pm)
  2. Saunders Park recreation ground (Bn2 4nh) (Thursdays / Apr 18th to May 23rd / 17:00pm-18:00pm)
  3. Wild Park recreation ground (Bn1 9aa) (Thursdays / June 6th to July 18th / 17:00pm-18:00pm)

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Please make sure to book in advance and bring your player ready for outdoor exercise. Please bring long tracksuit-type trousers or knee level support to avoid grazes in case of fall. Bring your own ball if you have one, outdoor sports shoes, comfortable sports gear and very importantly, a bottle of water. Make sure you are ready for a fun but demanding session. There are no showers, changing rooms and or water fountains onsite as these are all outdoor venues so please make sure to go to the bathroom before sessions!
