About the event
WHAT IS THE OPEN RUN
The Open Run at Brighton Youth Centre offers competitive basketball for Rookies (SY 1-3), Mini Ballers (SY 4-6), Secondary (SY 7-9) and Junior (SY 10-12) categories. Managed like a Central Venue League, athletes can enter as individuals or complete teams, with players blended when necessary to ensure fair competition. Focused on skill development and fun, the event also features Sports Leaders from our coach development programme. This 2026 initiative paves the way for upcoming Winter and Summer Slam Tournaments.
To sustain this project long-term past July 2027, we rely on community donations. We suggest a contribution of £5 to £10 per event, though players unable to pay are still fully welcome to participate. Cash donations are gratefully accepted on the day.
